The Beatles Love CD

The Beatles Love CD

November 21 marked the release of a new Beatles CD! Love is the result of a collaboration between Cirque du Soliel and The Beatles to base a Cirque show on the music of the Fab Four. Created by Sir George Martin and his son Giles, new music has been created from the original recordings of The Beatles. Remixed and mashed into brand new interpretations of the classic songs we've loved for all these years.

You'll never hear these songs the same way again. I can't wait to see the show in person or watch it at home on DVD.

Something to be aware of... there are two versions of this release. A regular CD with 78 minutes of music and a DVD-version (that includes the CD) but has 81 minutes of music in 5.1 format for play on your home theatre system.

All the details of the album's contents, including a song-by-song analysis can be found at my Beatles Love CD page.

"Take a sad song and make it better" indeed.

Remixes are of no consequence. Overall a waste of time and money.

This is a remix of consequence. It is a great piece of work. Well worth the money.

I have a few additions to your analysis:

Track 2: Beginning, 2nd solo, and final chorus include the orchestral crescendo from "A Day in the Life"

Glass Onion ending (before the strings alone) includes horns from Penny Lane

Eleanor Rigby beginning contains the last chord from A Day in the Life

Julia transition contains elements from Revolution 9 (sirens) and crowd sounds from beginning of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

More to come if I find any additions...
